The demands on filter media grow rapidly. Yet, the time to develop new 
media becomes shorter and shorter as development cycles across most industries 
speed up under the pressure of globalization. Based on this need, and much 
helped by great improvements in computing machinery, our group strives to 
implement computer models and algorithms for filter media, gas and fluid flow 
therein, solid particles, particle transport, particle deposition and all the 
way to the clogging of the media.
